Cocktail recipes that will make a splash at holiday parties

The holiday season is now moving along at full speed as lights, decorations and general holiday buzz are popping up everywhere you look.  It’s the most festive time of year and it just would not be complete without a few big holiday parties.  And a party just isn’t a party without some festive and delicious cocktails.
If you are tired of the traditional eggnog or ciders but want to create that holiday buzz with some festive beverages, there are tons of yuletide recipes that your guests will love.  Here are just a few.


Ginger Jalapeno Mule
From P.F. Chang’s at ORTC (Available through January 6)
“It does really well for those people who like to drink margaritas but are looking for a little more of a kick,” said Mary Melton, Beverage Director at P.F. Chang’s.

Jalapeño infused Tequila 1.5 oz
Fresh Lime Juice 0.75 oz
Agave Nectar 0.75 oz
Ginger Beer Mix 1 oz
Thai Basil Leaves 4 Each

Prepare by filling a shaker 2/3 full of ice. Add liquors and mixers.  The add basil.  Shake HARD for 10 seconds Pour directly into glass (do not strain) and top with ice and soda water.  Stir.
