Bottomless mimosas, delicious eats and colorful outfits – what’s not to love about brunch? With events like graduation and Mother’s Day taking place this month, the season of trendy dining is in full swing. And, one of the best things about brunch is dressing up.
Whether you’re meeting up with friends to catch up on the latest Netflix series, going on a date, or grabbing a bite with family to celebrate May holidays, below is my menu of chic ideas for May.
Spring into color. The month of May brings longer nights and warmer weather, which means spending more time outdoors and with nature. From bright colors to calmer earthy tones, your brunch attire this season should be reminiscent of the colors throughout nature. Tip: Think army green dress with a pop of color – maybe yellow sunflower earrings or coral espadrilles.
One-Piece of Mind. From cute maxi and sun dresses to long-sleeved and spaghetti-strapped jumpers, one-piece outfits are all the rage for brunch fashion. Feeling a little under the weather from last night’s activities? Dresses and rompers are the simple choice and make for some of the cutest outfits. Tip: Throw on a stylish jacket over any one piece to complete the outfit and keep you warm.
The Art of Accessorizing. Adding accessories is key and can completely transform an outfit. For brunching I love sun hats, jean jackets, and movie star-like shades. Tip: Make-up is also an accessory – add a pop of color to your lips to highlight every bite of your delicious meal.
Regardless of what you’re gathering for, these tips have got you covered for all brunch occasions—whether you enjoy them together or a la carte. Celebrate the season, warmer weather, and quality time on trend this month. And, as always, stay stylish!
