It’s been a spectacular summer of musical entertainment at Chula Vista’s Sleep Train Amphitheatre, and it’s not over yet.

Such nationally renowned country artists as Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean have all have all played to applause at the east side Chula Vista venue this year.

The August lineup of acts was impressive for music fans looking for a slightly harder edge: Slipknot with Marilyn Manson, Dave Mathews Band, Snoop Dog and Wiz Khalifa and Journey with the Doobie Brothers.

Still on the 2016 schedule are such artists as 5 Seconds of Summer (Sept. 7), Dierks Bentley (Sept. 11), Luke Bryan (Sept. 17), Mumford and Sons (Oct. 6), Florida Georgia Line (Oct. 9) and Prophets of Rage (Oct. 15).
