Rolling Hills Ranch resident Roy Tapia is a busy man. Tapia works up to six days
a week at his family’s business in Tijuana. He and his family started their logistics business with one store in Ensenada, and 13 years later they have expanded into 16 locations in five different cities in Baja. But Tapia is much more than a busy business man; he is a great husband and fun dad.
Tapia met his wife Adriana Guevara in high school when he was 17 and she was 16. High school sweethearts are considered longshots for long-lasting love, but Tapia and Guevara have beaten the odds. In their early 30s, they now have a teenage son, a 7-year-old daughter and 2-year-old French bulldog.
The family moved to East Chula Vista three years ago. Busy as he may have been, Tapia found time to support Guevara as she completed her Ph.D. dissertation. He also makes sure to spend time enjoying his children. Both play competitive soccer and take Japanese classes. Tapia and family love living in this community, making new friends and taking advantage of all the beautiful outdoor spaces.
Tapia’s biggest fans are his family and they are planning to enjoy a low-key Father’s Day doing what they do best — spending time together!
“He is truly the world’s greatest dad! He has always been completely involved in our kids upbringing, he’s a fun dad and a kid at heart. He enjoys playing soccer with them both at the park and on PS4. He makes our kids breakfast, packs their lunches and drives them to school every day. He has always been extremely supportive of my dreams, both in education and now work. When the kids don’t have school and I’m busy he takes them to his work. I love that he can teach them a little of what he does every day and that they have that extra bonding time,” says Adriana.
Happy Father’s Day to all the east Chula Vista dads!
